Pair of LSU-area retail centers sell for $5 million
A retail center at 4225 Nicholson Dr. anchored by Pluckers Wing Bar and another at 4250 Burbank Dr. anchored by Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers—together totaling 25,500 square feet of space—have sold for $5 million. The seller, Southgate View I and II LLC, is represented by local developer Robert Day; the buyer, Campus View LLC, is represented by J.B. Levert Land Company. Both retail centers are 100% occupied, and the new owners do not expect any changes in tenants, says Andy Andolsek, a spokesman for the purchasing group. "They are both very successful properties with some businesses that have been there a long time, and we just want to maintain and improve what is currently there," Andolsek says. "We do have some improvement plans for the buildings." Ty Gose of NAI/Latter & Blum brokered the deal. Other businesses at the Burbank Drive center, which is known as University View, include Izzo's Illegal Burrito, Subway and Bengal Beach Tanning. —Steve Sanoski
