Cox and LSU pull together to televise tonight's LSU-Kentucky showdown
In order for as many LSU fans to view the game as possible, Cox Communications says it has reached a partnership with LSU to air tonight's baseball showdown between No. 1 LSU and No. 2 Kentucky live in the Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Lafayette markets on channel 96, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tonight's game will also be rebroadcast on Fox College Sports Atlantic, channel 255, at 10 p.m. Tonight's game kicks off a three-game series between the two teams, which are tied atop the SEC with an 11-4 conference record each. Saturday's game starts at 1 p.m. and is scheduled to air live on Fox College Sports Atlantic. Sunday's game begins at noon, but will not be televised. As usual, all games will be carried by the radio affiliates of the LSU Sports Radio Network, with 98.1 WDGL-FM serving as the flagship station. Cox Louisiana Director of Programming Jason Furrate says due to the last-minute arrangement to get tonight's game televised, the broadcasts will not feature the usual Louisiana announcers.
