'Business Report' planner: BRAC and SCORE technology seminar Wednesday … Pitch Night event Thursday … HIV awareness event set for Nov. 3
Wednesday — BRAC and SCORE Small Business Education Series will host a seminar focusing on developing an online brand that is a trusted resource, optimizing search engines and using online technology to improve your operations. The seminar is being held at the Holiday Inn South, 9940 Airline Highway, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Seminar panelists include Hunter Territo from X Design, Trevor Reeves from Blureach, and Calvin Fabre from Envoc. Thursday — The Society for Emerging Networkers & Serial Entrepreneurs will hold a Pitch Night event from 6-8:30 p.m. at The Office Bar, 421 Third St. Four companies that have participated in Pitch Night over the last two years—College District, Petro TV, GiftMeo and Kajun Kayak—will share their progress with the group. Also, Wendy Overton and Manuel Valencia will talk about various Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week events scheduled for Nov. 11-17. Registration and more information are available here.
Nov. 3 — Family Service of Greater Baton Rouge hosts an "All Red Affair" at White Oak Plantation from 6-9 p.m. to recognize and raise HIV awareness. Food by Chef John Folse and an auction are planned. Tickets are $50. More information and tickets are available here or by calling 330-6327.
